When I hear Kokomo, the first thing I think of is the song. “way down in Kokomo”. So while I might not be able to take off to the warm paradise of Kokomo, I can go to Kokomo, IN. There is a lot of things to do while in Kokomo. Button Dodge wants to everyone to know what fun things there are in Kokomo.
Seiberling Mansion: The tour guides are very knowledgeable about the home and the Seiberling family. The guides will point out the many wonderful architectural details as well as the vast history of the home. The tour is guided through the first level but the second and third floors are available to tour on your own. The home is also a museum of many interesting artifacts from Kokomo. The home has recently been restored.
Kokomo Automotive Heritage Museum: The museum has a very nice collection of over 100 vintage and classic cars, including Haynes, Apperson, Maxwell, and Chevy. The museum is a must see for anyone who enjoys vintage cars.
Foster Park: The Foster park is a great retreat in the city. The park offers a nice option for walking or sitting and enjoying nature. It is a great place for a recharging lunch/break. A creek, the changing seasons, and even the people, make for a great natural theater and oasis.
Treasure Mart Antique Mall: This antique mall has a wide variety of antiques and collectibles spread over one floor. Pricing is reasonable and the staff was helpful and friendly. If you are looking for something vintage, this place is worth a visit.
Kokomo Speedway: Simply the greatest place for sprint cars. This is a great place to go and watch a race.
Vendor City: While Vendor City is said to be an antique store and a flea market. There is a little bit of everything there from antiques to bottles of shampoo.
