There are a lot of things that I love about where I live. But most of all, I love that it is small and quiet, and there is a lot nature everywhere. Not too far of a drive, when visit a local county park, I can see one of the most amazing things. I never thought that I would see Bald Eagles in the wild. I thought I would have to travel out to the far mountains or some remote area to ever see them flying in the sky.
But, no. This is the same place that we go to kyack and hike. We ride bikes. There is a bird sanctuary. There are many types of birds that can be seen flying around the park, but our favorite is watching the eagles.
There are several pair and we think that one nesting set had eggs up in their nest. While we can find the eagles flying and hunting, we have yet to find their actual nest. But what a sight.
It is said that there is also a nest right here in town. My brother days he has seen it, but he is hiding the location from me. He wants me to find it myself. That is the fun of brothers I guess.
