We were in North Carolina last week. We had a fantastic time, with beautiful weather. I was worried we would have rainy weather, since there were a few days that they were calling for it. Thankfully, we only had storms one night. Before the rain hit, and while the lightening was striking, we were outside in the crow’s nest, watching the lightening strike out over the ocean.

While we were driving home, there was an awful storm. Luckily we only had to drive through a little bit of it. While I was looking through Twitter, I saw an amazing video of lightening striking the Empire State building. It catches the strike beautifully. On average, the Empire State Building gets struck by lightening 23 times a year. See the video.
