So you get to go on your dream vacation. You have been saving and planning for what seems like forever. You are so excited. Then on your first night there, you start to get a pain. A pain that you know means one thing. Something is going on with your teeth. Whether it is a cavity or a broken tooth, dealing with dental repairs while you are traveling is not how you want to spend your vacation. But worse still, is having that kind of pain while you are trying to enjoy a trip.
Try to always avoid dental work before a trip. You do not want to have anything that can wait before leaving for a trip. If there is any kind of adverse reaction or issue from the procedure. If you are in the middle of treatment, ask your dentist what you should do if you have an issue while you are traveling. Ask the office if they know and can recommend someone in the area where you will be.
Do not chew on ice, popcorn or hard candy. These are some of the biggest triggers for tooth issues. Try to avoid them when you are traveling. Do not ever use your teeth to open or tear into things.
If you have an issue, seek treatment. Don’t let the pain mess up your vacation. If you dentist can not recommend someone in the area, ask your hotel front desk or concierge to help you find a dentist. They usually know the good dentist in the area that can help you.
Don’t let tooth pain ruin your dream vacation. Be sure to handle any issues before you leave and know what to do while you are away.
