There are few things worse than getting ready to go on a road trip and as you are ready to pack the car, it is dirty from daily use or from the last road trip. Or maybe you have just come home from your road trip and the car is showing the wear of being in the car for long periods of time, eating and playing.
Clean all the trash and food out of the car. If you have kids, take the toys and car seats out. You want everything out of the way so that the cleaning job goes faster.
Start by removing the floor mats. Vacuum the seats and the carpet. Using the crevice tool to reach under the seat, around the pedals and between the seats and the center console. Vacuum the floor mats.
Using a soft brush attachment, vacuum the doors, the center console, the dashboard and the seats. Be careful around the knobs. You do not want to knock them off or into a different position. If you have leather seats take care not to scratch them with the hose.
Check the seats for any stains. Use a cleaner designed for upholstery. Spray the cleaner over the upholstery evenly. Rub the cleaner in vigorously. When the spot is cleaned, use a dry cloth to remove the leftover dirt and cleaner. Finish the other spots the same way.
