Between running the kids around from where they need to be and taking road trips on the weekends, we are in the car a lot. There is always somewhere we need to be. Because we are always on the go, we tend to eat in the car a lot. The kids tend to leave their toys and clothes, and smelly shoes in the car. It does not take long for the car to be filthy and to really get a smell to it.
Keeping the car from smelling bad:
Be sure to vacuum the car. This will help get out the dust and keep things from getting moldy. If you are traveling with your pets, it will also get the pet hair out of the car. Be sure to get in between the seats and in the crevices. This is where the most dirt gathers and it is also where all of the crumbs, and that lost French fry, tends to be. By getting these things clean, you will keep the car smelling better and keep it from getting grimy.
Clean it up. Spills happen. All the time if your car is like mine. The best thing to do is be sure to clean them up right away. Leaving a spill until later can be a sure fire way to get bad smells in the car. Especially anything that has milk. Milk is a hard smell to get out of the car so it is best to get to it before it can set in.
